Reasons Why Some Nannies Lose Their Jobs

After several years of service, late nights spent in taking care of a child, caring for a child that is a total stranger, and some other dilemmas that others would probably raise...a nanny still lose the job that she took hold for a long time.

It could really be a big mystery for some, and it might keep them wondering what occurred to make them lose their most precious source of income.

One could be as innocent as they seem to be, but getting a nanny fired is enough reason that you did not perform your job well. There’s no reason to get rid of a good nanny, right?

To keep one aware here is a list of the most common reasons why nannies get fired.

o Lack of communication. Often this scenario leads to distrust and becoming doubtful of the nanny’s performance.

o The nanny’s attitude of being habitually late or absent. This could show that the nanny could not be depended on.

o Threatening to take away the mother’s role in the house. Letting the child call their nannies “mommy” is definitely a no-no.

o Disobedience. The nanny doesn’t comply with the house rules.

o Duty hours spent on personal use. Never spent hours on the phone or just surfing the internet; these activities may lead to negligence of task as a nanny.

o The nanny wasn’t able to establish a bond with the child.

o The Nanny has behaviors that could have a bad influence with the child’s values.

o The Nanny invites other strangers into the house while still on duty.

Getting constantly reminded that nannies are supposed to work under the rules and supervision of their employer, it should always be remembered the reason why you chose that kind of job. Failure to comply with what’s expected of a nanny would surely terminate the relationship with one’s employer.
